temp problem

I have a thru hull transducer on my 2012 Cougar. its the one with the remote temp sensor. I have never been able to display temp. on my dash mounted Gen 2 8. I have a Gen 2 7 on trolling motor and a Touch 9 ram mounted by console, all linked thru a LSS-1 box. I have overlayed the temp. box on the 8s screen and checked the temp box in the dropdown. The other day I was running and temp showed on screen for just a few seconds and then disappeared.Any one have any thoughts on what the problem may be? Appreciate the help. Love my kitty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It should not be able to happen unless there were a ground issue.

The remote sensor runs into the transducer and transducer wire into unit. If it were a ground issue, wouldnt I have issues with my unit? It works flawlessly.

Since the unit si working properly we would try a shelf transducer and just plug a back up in with the transducer. That would indicate whether the temp probe wires are cut somewhere, which after reading your post closely the last moderator missed we think.

Thanks guys. Ill get with my wrench this week. Sur they have one in stock. Hope I dont have to replace the transducer in bilge.
