I just wanted to drop a line to say how much we appreciate the invitation, and the hospitality we received while attending the 2017 NTC. It was an outstanding event, and an outstanding challenge. It was a totally different experience for us having never fished a lake outside of Texas. I now have a new definition for “gin clear” water. We met some great people, and had a lot of fun competing in the Marathon. Our performance wasnt stellar to say the least, but we stuck with it, and were learning things at each new lake. One of the other teams explained it best, it was always like fishing the last couple of hours of a tournament when you havent boated a fish. There was always a little since of panic. So, thanks again to Rick, Jason, Dallas, Joe, and all the others at Bass Cat for hosting us, and developing, and pulling off one of the coolest challenges in Bass fishing. To all the Bass Cat owners out there who havent fished in one of the qualifying events, you should give it a shot to try to qualify for one of the NTC Marathons. Its an experience you wont forget.
