I usually make a few trips to Mountain Home every year. I was blessed to have met Bigcatter/Mark over a year ago. I told him I was coming down this week for a few days and he took the reins and started to make plans for a day on the water. I am just an Ol Crappie fisherman with a right rotator cuff I am currently taking physical therapy for, and the weather forecast was not looking that great, but nothing deterred Mark and I was still anxious to spend time on the water so it was definitely on! We had a Great day! What rain did fall was light in nature and our rain suits kept us nice and dry. Fish cooperated and we had fun catching several. The right arm did not last long slinging a Crankbait, but I made an easy switch on the reel and started slinging it left handed. Mark was good at dodging my errant throws and gave me encouragement. After it was all said and done I enjoyed the day! Good fishing! Great conversation, and weather that in all honesty was a welcome relief for me after a long Hot summer at home. This is a friendship that would probably never have happened had it not been for this forum and the common love for Bass Cats. Turns out we share several common interests and experiences. Mark thanks for a Great Day on the water! I am already looking forward to the next time. My great uncle is now working on 103 y.o. and I had a great day on the water Bass fishing. It has been several years since I did that. I will be back home next week chasing Crappie again and it sounds like the fall bite is heating up!Dan

Love the sound of the Yamaha on back. It just sounds like it is itching to go! You are 100% correct about friendships and I always value each friendship I make. Fishing has been very Therapeutic for me and I plan on keeping it that way.DanLast edited by MeanV2 on October 25th, 2015, 1:22 am, edited 1 time in total.

Mark, I agree with everything you just said! It was definitely not like spending time with a new friend, but much more like being reunited with an Old Friend. I know Norfork Crappie can be tough, but I hope to get them figured out. Hope to be chasing slabs up here Wednesday and Thursday if the wind and the rain does not get too bad! Thanks Again my Brother!Dan
