Just wanted to let the gang know I completed my purchase of the PII Anniversary Edition from Sherms Marine yesterday. The boat is safe and sound in S. Illinois now. After waiting a few hours for the roads to dry around Sherms we departed and made the trip home in about 6 hrs. There were several gawkers along the way to report! It was supposed to be 50 here today, and the break-in was going to commence but when I got up there was 3 inches of new snow on the ground. Im about sick of this crap! What I wanted to say in this post in nothing that has not been said here before, however Im going to say it again. Sherm has been an outstanding Bass Cat dealer to me from our first phone conversation to the completion of the deal (2 months). Since there is distance involved we had to have several phone conversations along with me making a couple trips to Sherms Marine. Each time I called or when I was there Sherm and his staff have been nothing but professional. They always answered all my questions, not only answering but explaining “why” in many cases. They are professional and friendly. I feel like I have not only gained a brand spankin new Bass Cat but gained a few friends also.I also want to say I would most likely have gone local if my boat would have been ordered. It was a special edition boat that Sherm had and that was the boat I wanted. Even though I had to make two trips to Sherms I could not be happier in my decision. Turns out I ended up selling my old boat to a nice man from N. Indiana which I towed up there when I picked up the PII. I could go into detail about how this entire experience went down, but that is a story for the OI.Many thanks to Sherm and Bass Cat. I think I am really going to love this boat!
