They did produce some 80s, found a problem with interference in the trim circuit and trying to isolate, recreate, and fix. The 112s were not in production at that time and the 80s were immediately recalled. Although MinnKota is confident they will resolve the problem, they do not want to put a product on the water with a known problem, and thats understandable. This motor will be more advanced in circuitry than the previous try of this type motor (Genesis) and from all indications will be a good motor.
