About 2 years ago we desided to sell the family farm and relocate to the Mountian Home area. We have located several places we like but no takers on our end yet. I had been away from bass fishing for about 10 years so I starting researching Boat companies. Me and my 33 year old son went to boat shows and a couple factory tours. We were leaning towards Bass Cat for the following reasons (family owned, local factory, great selection of models and in my opinion the best built boat hands down). Over the winter a few things changed Bass Cat was sold and my son died of a stroke. So this spring we (me and the wife) started the process over again. We still want to relocate to the Mountian home area and I reevaluated boats all over again. I will say I came to the same conclusion but for some different reason. (I went for a factory demo ride with a competitor and was in an accident. Stopped at Bass Cat on the way home to see Ivan and looked at a p4. That night when we got home we decided that the P4 was the model we wanted when the time comes. I called Ivan a few days later to let him know what we decided, the first words I heard was Ivan asking if I was ok from the accident. To this day the competitor has not call to see if I was ok). Sense this time the P4 has been discontinued. So last Thursday I went to Mountian home for the day to decide on colors and a couple other things and start the process of desideing on a different model. I spent the morning at Bull Shouls Boat Dock with Steve picking out colors, pricing different models, and a quick boat ride. From there I went to Bass Cats open house to look at couple of models and talk to Ivan. I ended up going on another factory tour with Ivan And a wonderful group of people. I still have not decide which model we are going to get but it will be a cat. Bass Cat may not be family owned any more but is still family run! I have good and bad days fighting depression from the loss of my son. Thursday was a great day thanks to the whole Bass Cat family. Thanks Rick, Ivan, And the whole Bass Cat family. Arthur

So sorry for your loss acf cat. Wish I had some uplifting words. God bless you and your family. Enjoy the search for your new Cat and have some great days on the water.
My Heart and Prayers go out to you! Sometimes we dont understand Gods plans for us but we must trust him!Dan
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. I have a slight idea of what you are dealing with and you have my deepest sympathy. Time on the water, no mater the boat, is great therapy and I highly recommend it. God Bless you and your family.
Im so sorry for your loss!. I cant imagine what you are going through. I have 3 sons who are my world. I too have a home near Mountain Home in the Lead Hill area and recently bought a 15 Puma FTD. The quality of the these boats is amazing. Above that though is the service the people give when you need something. You wont regret your choice no matter the model you choose. When you get up here contact me and I will show you what little I know about fishing Bull Shoals.Brinson
So sorry to hear about your loss, acfcat. Prayers go out for you and your family. You might check the dealership list for Georgia, Sport Center still lists a pIV in stock unless its already been sold. Call and ask for Tim. Saw the boat in person in June, nice rig.
Arthur, Thank you for your kindness. We enjoyed seeing you during the open house and visiting over incidents of late. I cant say I understand the pain as few can and no one expects to. Some of my best friends have suffered loss of children as have some in our staff at MH. It can handled so many ways. We appreciate you sharing your story and we look forward to seeing you in the area.Rick
Thanks Big Mike I think there are 3 at delears and Rick had offered to move 1. But until the farm sells we can not do anything. I am sure it will all workout right in the end. Thanks every one for the comments. I really intended the post to be Thanking Bass Cat for all they have done most likely with out knowing it. Arthur
acf cat,You will find this company, their people, and their products are second to none. You will find on this forum people from all walks of life that all have a common bond and that is their BCB and you. I dont think you could possibly find a better place to call home than right here with the entire BCB family. Good luck on your future move and boat plans. If you have any questions or concerns on any BCB model, this is the place to get them candidly answered. BrianBrianHAWG Hunter2013 BassCat Eyra2013 Mercury 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U
