Well, the Sabre has gone home with her new owners. It was the perfect first boat and I know it will treat the new owners as well as it did me. But Its time to move up a notch. Ive got my eye out for a Pantera, preferably a PIV but, Im open to a PII as well. I found a Cougar FTD I Really like but, I just dont think I need THAT much boat. I mean, it is only what, 6 more inches over the PIV? But still… Not to meantion it would be a 16hr round trip to go get it. I think sticking with the Pantera will be just right for my applications. I know I want to stear clear of the Classics, nothing wrong with them, personally I just dont like the deck layout. I know finding the perfect PII or PIV in the right colors, the right price, is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack, but, I did it once w/ the Sabre so… I know it can be done. I sure wish I could afford the payments on a new one but thats not happening. This may be a long search but, to find the right one, it will be worth it. 13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods
Patience polaris. I searched along time. I love my p2. Though Id like the cougars and could have bought one. I had just come to the conclusion my wants and my needs were two completely different assessments. Color didnt mean a whole lot I had more important features I wanted. I knew I was gna customize it for my needs anyway. Take your time get wat you want or need. Theres alot of boats out there and still plenty to come.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
PIIs and IVs are nice but if you come across a Classic you like, consider the deck extension. Makes a big difference. Couple pictures below of mine one with and one picture with out. The extension makes for a lot of casting area. Its a bit of a big step up but depending on your age/shape its not to big of a problem. Im 59 so by the end of the day that big step up gets old but otherwise I love it. Whats also nice is that you can step from the extension to the step between the seats to reach the back deck in a hurry if you need too. Ive done when fighting a big fish several times and Im short legged. Also, there were two very nice well equipped PIIs that were used in MLF events at our local dealer CR Marine in Schenectady. I see one is sold, they both maybe now. I see they got their Caracal in, may have to take a ride tomorrow as Ill be over that way. Anyway, good luck and enjoy the search.Last edited by schodackbassman on February 9th, 2016, 4:41 am, edited 1 time in total.
Keep your eyes open, one will pop up for sale, but be ready to move on it if it checks out. Took me 5-6 months before I found my PII, which Ive been very satisfied with so far. Good luck!
Schodack I like those colors. Posted via TapaTalk for iPhone613 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods

It is really nice but, probably a little out of my price range being so new. Same with the PIV in Batton Rouge. It would be a great boat and fit the bill just right, except for the payment bill lol. 13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods
