Guys, can anybody tell me how thick the rear transom is on a 93 Pantera II? I guess the battery charger was mounted from factory on the inner rear wall of the transom and the screws that fasten it to the wall continues to work their self loose, and rough water tournament this past weekend bout done it for the existing holes, and I need to re-mount it in some fresh, more secure holes and sure dont want to drill through with the pilot holes. That old charger is pretty heavy, but still works great. Can anybody tell me the thickness? BCB your welcome to chime in here…. If anybody knows, yall should. Thanks!!

lots of the small plastic calipers also have a depth probe. You extend that a couple of inches, stick it in the hole and push the caliper until the handle is flush with the top of the hole. Voila you have the depth of the old holes. However, that being said, is there not a way to mount this without drilling additional holes? IE you have 6 bolts sticking through the transom already. If they are long enough, an aluminum plate could be mounted on 4 of those bolts using a second nut, and you could drill or tap that plate to mount the charger itself.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200

No Old timer. No holes are currently through the transom thank goodness, and thats what I want to keep from happening with new holes. But screwing a plate to the transom to mount it on, on pre set nut certs might be a option…. Hmmm

I didnt think you had drilled all the way through, that is why I suggested the depth gauge that is on most of the cheap plastic calipers you can buy at auto zone and such.Those 1/2″ bolts would make a really solid mounting base…2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200

Roughly 1.75″ overall on the transom itself.
