Very sad, and the fact the good folks of Mississippi have given Jackson and Vicksburg to the thugs is also alarming,,,,, Kinda like a big PB, AR.,,,,,,,, i say bs, this needs to be solved and an example made.
Saw this earlier on BBC. Very, very sad. Our heart goes out to his family. Unfortunately, Jackson is one of those places where concealed (or open) carry is almost mandatory if you want any chance of protecting yourself. Very few safe places there anymore. For anyone that has to stay in that area, you should consider staying in Madison instead. Much safer.
If you ever come to fish Ross Barnett you need to stay in Brandon or Madison. It is a shame that a man lost his life over some fishing tackle. The only time I go to Jackson is to call on a customer, and I do not ever spend a dime there. I hope they catch the thug that did this, but I dont have any faith in the law there.
First off prayers for the man that was killed and his family. PRAYERS FOR THIS COUNTRY …… OR WHATS LEFT OF IT. I read this on BBC this morning and it made me so mad. Finally got something good to come here and this happens. Typical. Label Mississippi. Its out of control here Basketman. People take a good look this is what happens when welfare and handouts run the country. These people dont care. They have taken over the Mississippi Delta….. If i could figure out a way to make a living somewhere else I would be gone tomorrow. Your right it needs to stop and they need to be made an example out of but it wont happen. Rant over and Im sorry for you to leave us this way Mr Johnson. It kills my soul to hear of it a man chasing his dream and some idiot do this.
HC couldnt have said it better. Its the same here in AR. My truck was broken into last month at our tourney in NLR on the river. Luckly the didnt really get anything. It just pisses me off that there are such deadbeats out here that prey on anyone especially when I am the one paying for them eat chicken and drink beer in the front porch as I drive by on my way to work. The PD said they probably got spooked, the reason they didnt get anything. I hope the meet their maker one day!
Those of you with high crime ramps could toss $10 each in the kitty for ramp security that day. Thats what we did years ago in high crime areas and it worked great. We first chose not to comment on the situation as it does not warrant a comment. All of our blood is boiling at the thought of this heinous action. Prayers for his family.
