tips on ouchita?

hey guys Im on the arkansas tech fishing team and we have a club tournament on ouchita february 3rd i fished this lake at the same time last year and struggled in a major way and was wondering if yall could give me a few pointers on where to fish and maybe what to throw??? thanks for any help!!!

Clayton for yalls derby I would just goto channel swings and throw pumpkin green flake and watermelon 7/16 Eakins jigs all day on cliff walls and points attached to them. The big derbies will be a classic battle between a riggers and grass fishermen and potentially a trap bite if you get 2 days of warmth before the event. Those three patterns require years on the lake to know when and where for each. Id goto channel swings in the arms, fish the cliffs and their points catch your 5 for 10lbs and try to get lucky.C.O.D. They cant use A Rigs in their club tourneys, only on the major trails that allow them. Unless they changed their club rules this year but Aaron hasnt said anything about it. Jig or Shaky head. Lots of rock with the sun on it, if the sun is out. Still stay on rock if its not. Twin Creeks, North or Irons Fork, or Pollard Creek. Not much sun in Pollard due to it being on the south side of the lake, but still hold lots of big fish. My partnew and I have hop and skipped around on rock ledges on the north side of the lake with sun on it when we go and caught fish. Some better than others. Thats what our big bites have come from.
