id have to make the purchase now and not chance it there going to heat up and if ya buy now you get to chose where you buy them on the road you will be looking for a close location after a blow out also if one does blow you might be buying a fender have a great trip when ya get to it
Your not going to get a NO out of anyone with those pictures. It will be at your own risk and you may be able to go several miles still, though you may not. Depends on how many miles your traveling and how your time frame and pocket book is. Those are definitely on the tail end of the life span. BCB
Change them now……why risk it. Last month, one morning walking out to my car to go to work I noticed that one of my trailer tires had gone flat (Firestone Firehawk Indy 500). The treads on the tire looked great, the sidewall looked fne too. I took the rim and tire off of the trailer and noticed that the sidewall facing in was completely dri-rotted and cracked almost completely around the circumfrance of the tire. It was actually scary to see. The tournament I had coming up that weekend was 2 hours away……I would have definitely had a blow out in my travels.
Dont even think about it—Replace all your tires before you start the trip.If you have a blow out, you will have to replace them anyway, plus repair all the collateral damage. This is a no brainer.MikeWhitten
My “rule of thumb”,,,,replace ALL trailer tires every four years, period. Dont care if its utility, cargo, boat,,,,all go freakin bad bout that time from my experience.

i just replaced mine that looked like that. i wasnt driving 200+ miles pulling my Cat on those tires. they probably didnt have 1 more highway trip in them. so yes replace them before hitting the highway
Replace all 4 now. Mine did the same thing, but exploded into a million small pieces of rubber running 70mph on I20 in Bama.
Availability was an issue for Firestone when BCB quit using them. No issues with the tires, just a bit hard to come by. BCB was buying them off of retail shelves to continue the customer obligations. Cant hardly keep doing that, so they changed brands. There were no issues.
BCB, why do you no longer use Goodyear Marathon? Ive never had a issue with them.
Damnation!!! After the knucklehead u put up with on sunday that is NO good. I reviewed tires and went with hankooks. Optimo 727 is what id get to avoid the inside white walls i got.C.O.D. Jr. III
I may study them some, think a 6ply side wall at least if they even make it
I would get a Michelin LT series tire if you want the best. Also Sumitomo used to make a 10 ply rated tire in the car sizes I dont know if they still do.Irv
Yeah Irv arent most tires really only 3-4 plies? the “ply” now is just a rating that only occurs in light truck tires right? Only load ratings in passenger tires. It was hard to figure load rating in passenger tires and apply them to previous bias tire production.went with one near 100 and will see where it goes.C.O.D. Well I have found a 6 ply that is white letter or several solid black walls in 8 or 10 ply.. Wondering if the 6 is enough, or go with 8 or 10 hate an overkill!
