Titan truck versus Saber trailer

Put my brand new 2013 Bass Cat Saber on the back of my Nissan Titan pick up yesterday…hooked up the lights on a Curt Tconnector. Running lights on the trailer work fine as does the back up lights but not blinkers or brake lights….connection is good and it is a 5-flat connector but gave up after an hour in 27 degree weather….got it home with out the brake or blinker lights but would rather not do that…can anyone help or guide me non this.

I would do this to start. http://basscatowners.yuku.com/topic/240 … TOVbIy9KSM. My son has a Titan but his truck has a tow package with the standard 7 pin round connector in back. We just use the Wally World 7 pin round to the flat 5 pin adapter on his truck pulling a 2009 Sabre and all work fine. No issues. Not sure what a Curt T-Connector is?

tneer1272, Lets eliminate some items. Since your running lights work turn them on, plug them in by turning the flat plug 90 degrees. Plug in the brown on the truck (pin) to the yellow (left) pin on the trailer harness, then the brown to green (right). Sounds like the back up switch worked tied to your reverse light circuit or you would not have been able to back up. The solenoid engages and blocks the fluid pressure from the cylinder when you shift into reverse. BCB

Had a titan with similar issues. Needed to add two relays under the hood to get the reverse solenoid to release. Also had issues w running lights. Two relays solved the problem. Im not sure of the part number, but they were mounted in the secondary electrical box. Hope this helps, I know it frustrated me. I also had a loose wire in the 7 pin round connector on a second occasion, so you may want to double check that as well.

I have a 10 Titan & 07 Sabre. Titan has tow package, I bought the adapter 7 pin to 5 flat and it has worked flawless.

After reading dropshots post, I remembered there being some relays on some trucks without the tow packages you had to add relays and harnesses to get them to work. Heres a link to Curts relay kit for the Titan since you have their harness. http://www.etrailer.com/Wiring/Curt/C57000.html Also there are some differences in relays depending on the year model of your truck. Talked to the people at etrailer and they confirmed that you need a couple extra relays to make everything work….I should know something by Thursday…Thanks for the tip

Dropshot85 You were absolutely correct. Called E Trailer (800-298-8924) Talked to the rep there and she was positive that the relays needed to be added. Called on Monday….got them on Tuesday,,,installed on Wednesday and they worked perfectly….Thanks to all the people who suggested everything…hope to meet up at the OI
