Question regarding upgrading to 36 V TM using 3 batteries for powering the boatI researched the site and located information that it was doable as long as the batteries are large enough and kept in good working condition. My current setup 250 Merc2 -10’ PP Blades2- 7’’ Lowrance Touch 3 Sears platinum group 31 Everything else is standard Is this still ok to power everything w/ 36 v TM using 3 large batteries?Thanks Brian

Im planning on using a trollbridge 36 to try to charge batteries along the way. Using a similar setup, PM-1 main and (2) wet group 31s.I am buying a noco jump start pack as a backup.Sent from my SM-G900V using Yuku app

We did that for a few decades and it should work very well. The capacity of the batteries should be enough.

My last boat (2005 Cougar FTD) had a 36 volt MG TM and only three batteries. I never had a problem in the eight years I owned it. I take that back the ONLY time a I had a problem my starting battery was getting old. I replaced it with a Sears PM31 and all was fine again. New boat (to me a 2012 Cougar FTD) has a 36 volt MG TM and a total of four batteries.
