I will tell you I have had every outboard made “brand wise” and this one will scream. You get good ones and bad ones and this one is a great one. Somebody will get a nice boat, like new.

I think people are afraid of Johnson/Evinrude but the main problems that I have heard have been with the big 225s and 250s. I had a 150 Evinrude that was a fantastic engine. That BRP Johnson is a carb engine not the E-tec if I remember correctly.. Strong reliable motor if thats the case. No need to be scared of this one. Nice rig and price.

Thanks all for the kind words. It is a carb engine, and as I said I have had them all, currently have a Tohatsu, Honda, Suzuki and this Johnson. I have had outboards from 2 HP to a Mercury 280HP on an Allison 21XTB. After 40+ boats you have good ones and bad ones. PICs on the way. I should also mention that the only reason I am selling is to get a bigger boat 19 /200 or 225HP. I will also say this BassCat site is amazing, from having to find out things in the past about R and T boats this site is the source of truth. i know a guy here with a 2003 sabre with that johnson 150 carbed and its still ticking strong now in 2012. thats 10 years and yes his is strong
