Toledo Bend I see starting to heat up. I had 30lbs Saturday in a club tournament and my dad had 14lbs out of the back of the boat. Our best 5 combined were 33lbs. I wish I could post a pic lol. Its on fire right now!

Congratulations on a Great stringer!! Many people think the fishing is declining at Toledo Bend. That may be somewhat true for the bank beaters such as myself but for those that understand the ins and outs of offshore fishing Toledo is turning into an even better fishery. Without the shallow cover on the banks more and more fish are staying in the 8-12 foot range to spawn on the long clay points and humps out on the main lake. I personally think the Elites are gonna crush them if the wind allows them to fish offshore like they will mostly need to do to catch the heavier bags. Now that being said, my Club had several 18# to 24# stringers last week all fishing up shallow. I just dont know how long that will hold on. Chris CoupelPaulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.

Thanks guys. Toledo is fishing tougher than it has in the past, but the fish are still there. There is so much pressure on the lake right now that the fish have become accustomed to baits imo. But the big ones are biting! I had another on over 8 yesterday.
