If you visit your local auto parts place, some sell some “o-ring picks” that work great for this. I bought a set of 3, they have a purple-colored anodized aluminum center section for the grip, and a different pick type on each end. The one in my tackle box is a straight pick on one end with a very sharp point. Other end is a 90 degree bend with a straight point after the bend. They are big enough to grip solidly so you dont have to deal with a slip and an OUCH. Robin, you are not cheap——-frugal would be the word. I use a lot of weights and I have just started using the tungsten. They do let you know what is on the bottom a little better, but since I only fish for fun, I will continue to use the lead as long as it is available. Some swear by the Yellow Magic lure and I still prefer the pop-r. Cost be the deciding factor. Still catch a lot of fish on it, so hard to spend the extra $. Have a good weekend. pant 2 Bob
