Trailer 5flat question???

Some of the 5 flat have an extra brown wire that takes lights down both sides of the trailer instead of “splitting” the brown off. In anycase, you should just have 5 pins: Ground, lights, turn/brake, turn/brake, and backup. I had the exact same problem. There should be a brown/yellow and a brown/green you need to tie into the brown on the replacement plug. If everything is working except the running light, the left out wire needs to go to the brown on your new plug.
