Just this weekend, I was returning home from fishing and stopped for some gas. I could smell a hot steel smell and when I checked my rear tires on the tandem trailer, they were very hot even the rim was hot which I touched . This is the first issue Ive had with the trailer brakes and did notice that after unhooking the trailer, the wheels were still locked and couldnt push the boat into the garage. Is there any lubing needed on the coupler to help disengage the brakes I should know of before having someone look at it? The trailer has surge brakes. Im hoping I dont need to replace the brakes now. Thanks for any help in advance. If you cant convince them, confuse them.
