I have a 1997 Pantera Classic and the trailer brakes jerk real bad when I have to stop suddenly. Fluid level is good. Could this be from air in the system?
Could be lots of things, from warped drum/rotor, to wheel cylinder, to pads glazed, to,,,,,Best advice is to take it to a brake shop or dealer for check-up, or rebuild yourself if inclined. Good luck, D.
Probably the pads are pressing and they could have grease or oil (fluid) on them, and loosing bite, the catching. Just a pull and check on these is required first. And they are drum brakes on a 97.
Thanks for the advice… Ill pull them off and do more investigation. As always, I was hoping for the quick and easy fix first. I replaced them 4 years ago, so its probably just time for a whole new brake job again. Thanks again for the advice and insite.
