Hey guys my three year old son is feeling the long winter blues also and decided to go play around the boat and trailer yesterday, no big deal, five minutes all done, says dad the mercury is ready to go vroom vroom. I leave for work and hear a pop as I pull away, get out and look and its my emergency break away cable still hanging from my eye hook about 14″ long ripped in half, with the other half still hanging out the trailer hitch. walked between the expedition and the trailer earlier, must of been just enough cable length to hook up. I asked him later on the phone, Chase why didnt you tell daddy you hooked the boat up? He says in his big man voice, dad I told you the mercury is ready for vroom vroom. Family just want to share one of the many experiences for me with my son as I start him on his fishing life. Chase is my first and only child, who was born in july 2010 that summer before his birth I turned 50. For a long time it was all about me, what tx is next, weres the next vacation spot, work fish, work fish. Ive been shown a new and much more rewarding meaning to the phrase lets go fishing.
