Trailer fender repair or replace?

Well I finally got to meet Mr. All American…well I did not actually meet this fine upstanding person but I did get to see his handiwork. Some excuse for a human being backed into my trailer fender this past weekend and of course did not leave any message or note. Typical of people these days, nobody cares about any body elses stuff. Oh well.My question is, based on this picture, can the fender be repaired or should I replace it? And if it can be repaired how hard is it going to be to match up the red flake? I know nothing about this stuff and any advice/recommendation will be greatly appreciated. I live in Shreveport, LA. Also, if it has to be replaced, approximately how much will it cost to buy a new fender?*Hopefully the picture comes in clearly*Thanks,Tony D2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS

The fender prices are not nearly brutal as the freight. In your case order the fender through EKs Marine and have it sent with a delivery to his complex on a BCB truck. That should save a bunch on freight.

apparently mr all american was down here in alex too. had a pillar of the community run a child shopping cart from lowes ( you know the really big ones with the race car) into the side of my truck one day and now i have an enormous dent in the side of it.

I know how you feel, my 2011 pump ftd that was three weeks old and the fender was tore up on it at a state park on Toledo Bend, finally located the guy and his insurance bought a new fender from Bass Cat and it looks brand new again. Bass Cat can make it with your Boat serial number if the trailer has been changed.

What up with fisherman knocking into trailers while you are out fishing and not leaving contact info???? Happened to me little over a month ago too. I have a fender on order and it should be here next week.

its no excuse but several times it is the nonboater parking the rig at the ramp who may not be use to driving your truck and trailer. In this case the boater whos rig did the damage may not even be aware his rig caused the damage. Regardless it is just wrong to not leave info

I could fix it for you. Toledo fiberglass is closer and damn good! But not sure what they would charge you. I am guessing someone will charge 2-3 hours labor to change it plus fenderand freight cost. The one of mine I fixed was much much worse and turned out great!

I feel your pain, I had same fender hit twice. I have the new one still in the box, waiting for the day I go to sell it becuase just as a put the new one it will get hit agian.
