Brown wire is running lights . — Make sure you have power coming from your truck before you blame the trailer . — Hoss

Definitely check your truck fuses first, and make sure you have power at the plug at the rear of your vehicle. If you have power then I would check to see if you have a broken brown wire in the plug or trailer wire harness near the front between the plug and where it tees off to both sides of the trailer.
