Hi guys! I asked what is the right fit for the trailer receptacle hitch about a Bass Cat Trailer and what is the right ball hitch measurement .Can be a nonsense question but I live in Europe, we have a different standard measurement in decimal metric and i ask for a correct installation for trailering my future boat.Thanks for the reply to everyone.

The hitch is a 2″ ball and the best height is around 20″ in overall height. That would range from 50 to 55 centimeters we believe. BCB

Great timing on this question! Is the 20″ inch height pretty much standard across the board? Order for the Margay is going in tomorrow, and now its time to start getting ready to bring it home whenever it arrives at Greenes. (recognizing of course that itll be 4+ weeks).And just to be clear, is that from the ball mount, or the top of the ball?

I am sitting at 20 1/2″ that was about as close as I can get to 20″Ron

Tell me if Im overthinking this…With a 3.25″ drop, the top of the ball is at 20″ unloaded, but if I stand on the ball mount (235lb), it drops to 19″.Think I should stay there, or choose a 2″ drop ball mount, which would put me closer to 20″ when loaded?Just trying to get ready for my boat. Cant wait!

20″ will be fine. Some prefer 21 or 22, though it pushes the tail up with heavier loads. The old height was 18″.
