Trailer Reverse Lights

I have a 2008 Puma, and there are two backing lights under the trailer. Each is in a black housing–about 3 by 6 inches.I have replaced the lights twice so far. At Amistad last week, I noticed another one is out. I was told BassCat was aware the lights had a short life span and they were working on a new option. Does anyone know if the new lights are available yet?

There are no feasible options yet and those are a sealed beam light. The lights work fine for some and they are better mounted up as they are now. There are other options, though they do not distribute the volume of light that these do. Then there is the sealing issue also. These are a Peterson light and a mid range beam tractor flood which you can get readily at most tractor and farm supply stores.

I had the same problem with the lights filling up with water and blowing the bulb! What I did to remedy this was to get a good clear waterproof clear silicone and caulked a nice smooth bead around the black housing where the glass lens meets…..problem solved and you can not see the silicone at all
