My turn signals / brake lights are out. What is the green wire that runs all the way to the back “boat driver side ” tie into ?

There may be a fuse that needs to be installed somewhere under the hood. Check with a Ford dealer.

My friend has a Ford and I think he had to add a relay somewhere under the hood to make his work. You might want to check into that.Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!

Tx76,Your question is not stupid. There are probably a few other owners that have encountered a similar problem. While out of the auto industry for some years now, it is probably a simple fix as other owners have suggested. If the Ford dealership should not be able to provide a quick solution, may I suggest you call BCB direct, as they may have run into this before. If they cant help, they will do EVERYTHING within reason to assist you.Hope you get a quick resolution.

Found this post in the FAQ section. It might help you.” I run a Puma and pull it a 2001 Ford Expedition, there is a relay that needs to be purchased from your dealer, its rather cheap and worth it in the long run. It goes under the hood on my 01, I am sure your 02 is very similiar. I looked in my owners manual and found the missing relay spot, it is either #201 or 203, both deal with trailer lamps and the 203 is the backup trailer lamp. It did not come installed on my 01 Expedition. I purchased it (part# F57B-14B192-AA) from the parts dept. at my local Ford dealer, it is the same as the other relays in the other spots and since installed it locks out the brakes everytime as they are triggered by the reverse lights if I am not mistaken. I can back up in any situation flat or steep without an issue. Hope this helps, “Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!

That helps. Hard to believe mine doesnt already have it installed. Dang thing has everything else already on it. Im sure BCB will know. They know everything….and I think they have an 11 Ford super duty. Ill call the dealer tomorrow. Thanks for all the help

Check your trailer backup light. It it is out, then you have a fuse blown on your truck. I had this same problem a couple of years back and was told by BCB that the backup light failure is an indication of this problem.

Check your glove box for a relay and it does go under the hood

Green is rt. turn signal/stop, yellow is left turn signal/stop, brown is tail, white or black is ground. Just a heads up, lots of late model trucks have separate circuit/fuses for the trailer in the fusebox. Check your truck fuses first.

Most of the time the problem is a bad ground. I carry a wire with two clips on it. Hook one to metal on the truck and the other end to the trailer. If the problem is a bad ground it will get you home.2015 Caracal

It pulled lose. So it ties back in with power ?
