what is the white wire for? i have a white wire with a wire connector on it and i was wondering what it controlled just in case i ever have an issue. thanks sean this is on a tandem trailer
Always the white wire is the ground wire, green and yellow are turn signals, and brown is running lights, blue is brake solenoid and reverse lighting on later models. D.
Not to be sarcastic but there is no such thing as “just a ground”. That ground wire is the most important circuit in the system. I would find out where it attaches to and repair it. Without a proper ground you will have all kind of crazy electrical problems. Dont rely on the trailer ball to complete the ground path.
the reason for my responce was because i was worried it might have something to do with the braking system. at this point there is nothing wrong with it. it must have been pinched and the previous owner joined it back together with a wire connector. thanks for all input
