Trailering with Aurora cover

Ive got the Aurora travel cover for my 07 Sabre FTD. Canvas construction I believe. Covers the boat and motor when installed.Never actually traveled with it in place. Planning to use it to trailer about 100 miles to Lkae Hamilton to the new lakehouse. Any tip on trailering with it?Do you trailer with the pedestals and seats in place (ProPole butt seat front, regular seat in rear)? Or with pedestals removed?Thank you in advance.

We believe you have the tent style with engine cover and cover as one unit, which creates a yet effect. The cavitation plate holds the tension straps and trim on the engine tightens it just as your toter stops movement, with the straps properly adjusted. The seats or other items may be needed to keep the cover tensioned and not pocketing.

Tried it with the short pedestal and the butt seat in front. No way it will fit. I guessing it was made to fit without the seats in place. I tried strapping it today. Pretty straightforward on the front straps. But, how the hell do you strap it, and to what, in the fender area. Ive got a tandem trailer, and short of strapping it to the axles, theres nothing even remotely close that you can strap to. Is there any instructions available for applying the Aurora cover? Im at a complete loss at this point. Great cover, but hell to install (for me anyway).I may have a cover for sale shortly. Been wanting a new Sunbrella cover anyway.

Thanks to pant 2 for some insight on installing the cover. So, the front of the cover appears to require a short pole with a male snap that attaches to the snap on the cover approx. 1 behind the seat mounting hole. Does BCB sell those, or is it an Aurora cover item? My have to rig one out of PVC with a snap attached. Sorry for the rant yesterday. Got a bit frustrated. Its all good.

Glad you are all good. Call Aurora. They sent me a couple of those adjustable aluminum poles for one of my Cat covers a few years ago. I had what sounds like the same Aurora cover on my 2010 Puma FTD. I just used to loop a strap around the trailer frame at the junction of the front of the fender and frame, then back up into the plastic tab, snug it up tight, and then tie some half hitches with the excess. I did the same with the next strap at the rear junction of the fender and frame. Then the rear portion I looped around the cav plate like BCB suggested. Having said this, my new rig has the strapless Sunbrella Supreme. It is so much easier to install, lighter to handle, is perfect on the highway, and is by far the best cover I have ever had. At my age, I really appreciate its convenience and ease.
