Transom Support for a 2000 PIII

I have a PIII that is still in GREAT shape and I am wanting to repower it however the single hold up is the transom. My bass cat dealer near by said it had some soft spots in it but could last a life time. My question….Is there a support for the transom that someone could recommend that would help equally distribute the weight and make it more sturdy and ensure it lasting a little longer? Thanks in advance for your input.

I dont recall what year BCB went to a six bolt plate ? If you have a four bolt on it then the six bolt may help, and I would get someone to really inspect the transom. Sometime in 2000 I think they went to the solid fiberglass transom, and I would call BCB with the serial # and ask if there was any way to tell from that, otherwise youll have to get factory input on the situation to clarify.

A Transom Tuffner will help as well as more bolts mentioned above. My PII had one on from the beginning. If yours does not, I would install one above and below the splash well.06
