Trick Step or Easy Step

The BC original step and pole was a great idea but time has passed it by. Have a 19 Lynx. I am old and fat and the pole is WAY TOO SHORT to help me get in the boat AND with the graph(s) and TM they are hard to step over. BC, the longer pole would solve most of this. I have contacted Trick step and they need the angle on the support for the roller and the tubing size to give me a quote to make one. Their grab pole is much longer. I do have a little concern about hitting the  Trick step when loading or launching the boat though. BCB, can you help with the angle and the tubing size? AND BCB, make the poles longer on newer models. The expense would be minimal and the help would be great.

I believe BCB is working on some possible changes to the front step and pole set up. Do keep in mind, a taller pole does run the chance of hitting the top of a shed. Garage doors are slightly higher.

My buddy installed the Trick Step on his Nitro. He has a metal shed to park his boat. He has to remove the boat from the truck hitch and then lower the jack to shove the boat thru the door for the pole to miss the top of it.

I believe the best design is to continue using the current fiberglass step as the starting point. Its position keeps you further out the water and closer to the tongue on shallow ramps.
