Hi everyone. I have read most of the posts about the 31 AGM batteries for cranking. Just curious if anyone has any recommendations for the trolling motor batteries. I hear that the Trojan batteries are good but I have never had anything other than Interstate. They have been pretty good but I have found myself replacing them nearly every year or year & a half. I am probably not the best, however, at maintaining the water levels so that may be partially my fault. Any help would be appreciated.

I struggled with this last time I needed batteries. Ive had good luck with Deka products in the past. My dealer handles Interstate and they are easy to get almost anywhere. I decided to support my dealer and went with another set of Interstate knowing about two years is all Ill get out of them if I go back to heavy use. Sherm has gave me great service and the little things help keep him in biz. My advice is always try and support your local dealer when it makes sense.

Thanks for the info. I think I will try the Everstart batteries and just replace them more often.

i run a 31 series FULL RIVER cranking battery and 3 WALMART 27 series for the troller.if i have an issue with the 27s,walmart cant be too far away.as far as the cranker;well ill just have to get something to sub.awesome battery though!

by Dbasketman ” in my treys that is group 29s, otherwise Id run 31s.”Group size 29 and 31 are the same physical size. Difference is post location. i want 3 for the troller but they come out of florida and shipping,down time if an issue(not yet)almost 2 years now.
