Have a Motorguide digital TR82 on a 2010 Sabre FTD. Trolling motor was working the last time I used the boat (only 4 times so far) but the boat is 15 months old (long story). Went to the lake today and trolling motor is dead. I charged the batteries tthe night before and put them on separate charger after getting back home, they check good. Checked the breakers they were not tripped. Slight corrosion on batteries, cleaned those good and still not workinng. Any other ideas? I think the trolling motor has a 2 yr warranty but nearest shop is 2 weeks out from even being able to look at it. I think I have run out of things to check and sure hate to be down another 2 to 3 weeks. Looks like I have power to the front receptacle and I did make sure the main power was on as well. Any help would be appreciated.Larry
At one time had the exact same results, everything checked out, it was a loose wire in the plugin itself. MALE END!!Last edited by SAMRUSH on June 10th, 2011, 3:13 am, edited 1 time in total.BAYOU BANDIT
took the plug apart and both the red and black wire were securely fastened unfortunately so im back to any suggestions…. thanks though I wanted iit be that easy.
You can in the prop to check to see if it will turn under power as the armature may have a hot spot. Also do use a voltmeter first at the receptacle in the boat, to check for 24 volts.
Ok, checked the female plug with voltmeter and its showing 25.79 volts. So I guess it looks like im going to have to take it in…. thanks for the help just hate to be down awhile again
