1. Whats the best way to get some coffee/mocha stains out of the carpet on my 2011 Sabre FTD? Im thinking about picking up one of those inexpensive spot steam cleaners, to use on the boat a couple of times each season, and then Scotchguard the carpet a couple of times as well. Any issue using a steam cleaner on the carpet or any issue with their cleaning solution? I know the suggestion of flooding the deck with water and scubbing, but seeing as how we just got 6″ of snow, Im looking for a technique that is a bit more garage/4 month grasp of winter friendly…And, on a completely unrelated note…2. You could use your Pro Tec Mighty Tuff. But if you dont have any handy use vinegar and water 50/50. Pro-Tec Productswww.protecproducts.com

My cup holders just give the illusion of holding a travel mug until I hit about 45mph or so. Your not alone.I got a quality travel mug with a spill proof lid and just lay it on its side on the floor of the boat when im motoring.

Almost any kind of cleaner will take out coffee stains. Simple green works well, Bassboat Saver works also. As cat19 said, vinegar/water works well too. I use that often for stains on my carpet.

Good tips on cleaning the carpet. Ive had great luck using my Yeti Ramber mugs.

On the cup holder / travel mug topic…I stopped trying to find a travel mug that fit these cup holders. But since a regular coozy fits nicely in those cup holder openings (everywhere on the boat), I just use a regular cylindrical hot/cold liquid container and put it in the coozy. Fits nicely everywhere. My current one is a “tall” version acquired from Starbucks. When I plan to go fast, I use the cupholder by my right foot at the helm and not the step box.On the carpet cleaning topic. I had a good sized coffee stain on my carpet. Came out pretty well when I did the flood the carpet and scrub method. I had done a quick round of Resolve carpet cleaner spray foam, let dry, then vacuumed first before flood/scrub.I2D

Learned the same lesson with coffee and the cupholders. I have used Folex instant spot remover carpet cleaner with good luck. This is available at Lowes or Home Depot.Jason Ferbrache – Edmond, OK 1995 Basscat Eyra

Water/vinegar seemed to do the trick. Just curious though, any worry in using a handheld steam cleaner? Do not use the cupholders on the step box while on plane. I only use them while side scanning or fishing.
