Hahaha -sorry fellas, couldnt help it!
My nieces went to Alabama (from Dallas) and my sister is with them at the game. I told them to go to A&M. They wouldnt listen.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…. I love it!!!!!! Lost to a 2 loss team in their own house! Sad thing is they can still go to the championship and stil go on to the BCS Ntl championship….I dont care though, tonight they got their rear end handed to them by a a freshman QB and a 2 loss team!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHa
First of congrats to aTm team an staff on a well planned 1st qtr. I never figured bama would start much of a comeback but they did rally some between the mistakes. They know you cant haul off an get penalties twice that had critical results and AJ 2 interceptions , last one had a fatal result!! Yeldon 2 weeks in a row ( at exact crappy time)! Im jus glad I seen it coming 2 weeks ago an got a stret up on ATM !! I am hardcore BAMA, I jus never got that big head an backed away from saying they would drop a couple this year. They have played above most folks preseason thoughts an Im proud of them for that, roll tide. As much credit should go to ATM defense for being there to slow the tide an scoop up the mistakes when the freshman ( he is good) couldnt put but 9 on the board in the last 3 qtrs. Roll Tide an keep the heads up, still got 13 win season possible( aint bad)!!
Im glad to see the Ags do well and was rooting for them to win…but- I hate to put Oregon and K State in a championship position when Bama is still the best overall team in the nation in my opinion. The Ags beat them tonight but day in day out Bama is the best team in the nation. Just my opinion though..
No shame loosing to that freshman QB. That kid is a stud and was the difference in the game. Bama has contained every QB they faced with their pressure defense this year. A&Ms QB has a bit of Cam in him but with more accurate arm at this stage in development. Everytime Bama came with a blitz or pressure A&Ms QB tucked it and left Bamas defense in the dust. He had that extra gear you dont normally see and to think hes a freshman??? The better team won tonight and congrats to Texas A&M.
TAM is a newcomer to the SEC and while its only two loses are to a #24 ranked florida team and a #6 ranked LSU team (at the time they played), they are still a subpar SEC oppenent this season. And an very talented Bama team lost to an 8-2 team, which is simply not acceptable for “the best team” in the country. Should they get a shot at the NC would be a disgrace in college football. Last season I understood it, they lost to a #2 rank LSU, but you dont lose to a #15 2 losss opponent and hope/expect to make it to the NC game based on the theory that that SEC is the dominating conference it was over the past 6 years. If we go with that argument then florida and or georgia has every bit more right to be in that conversation than alabama does Based on who they lost to. To take away what oregon, Kansas, and Notre dame has accomplised so far is every bit as on par as to the weak schedule that bama has played, yet they remain undefeated. Sorry, but the best teams in the country show up to play everyday, day in and day out. Bama failed to do that, and failed to do it, not against an undeafeated pac 12 team, not against a top 5 SEC oppenent, not against an undefeated unaffilated ND, but to a 2 loss #15 ranked Texas A&M and for that they are not the best team in the country, not tonight, not tomorrow and certainly shouldnt be a NC contender.
Just an opinion from a casual observer who doesnt postpone all activities to watch a ball game or see their favorite team like some do. I dont know the best stats, players IQ or the 40 speed of the linebackers. I just felt we all are overlooking something. For some reason everyone is dissing the Nike Ducks these past two seasons. Of course probably because they are potentially the most supported athletic school in the NCAA. Not in dollars, though in athletes. Think about this, you intend to “Go Pro” as an athlete, not one of the few mega contracts for the NFL, MLB or NBA. Perhaps its in track, golf, tennis, soccer, or some other career. Where would you select as a college? Perhaps UnderArmour follows a similar cycle, though unless they do NIKEs ownership has made Oregon into a program we can not overlook. They have emerged into a new dominance and for good reason. If your a 17-18 year youth looking for a major apparel contract when you turn 22-23, you can leap frog every other NCAA athlete in your sport. The new uniforms every game, overnight powerhouse and glitz in the program has created a lot of envy of th status it seems. Even with three undefeated NCAA teams after yesterday the talk of Alabama having a shot at a title game went third to Kansas and a recent one year wonder Notre Dame squad. Oregon was only mentioned as a possible candidate, why? Has anyone noticed the speed the Ducks have managed to assemble on the field the past four seasons? Their showing in other sports AND the overwhelming potential in Track and Field is to be respected by all! This includes one of the most dominant NCAA records and number one (#1) Track program in collegiate athletics of the Arkansas Razorbacks with more NCAA Championships than any other NCAA program short of one in North Carolinas womens athletics from memory. Of course Alabamas 14 NCAA Football Championships is extremely dominant in football, though Bryants trophies should not grant the Saban Tide with a right to heritage. In the end on this season I think Oregon has the best athletes and witnessed this from a casual perspective early on as they can individually handle the one on one challenges of anyone. Of course the unspoken part is after and should Oregon continue to build program, with youth knowing how to move forwards with less resistance after college, the NCAA will have to react. Leveling a playing field which is on a fast track to a New Pacific Coast powerhouse for all of their collegiate programs. No longer just are they the Prefontaine era. My prediction is Oregon is number one in the country and if not they appear to be number one in talent. Suck up and realize there is a new force to be reckoned with and the Tide is changing. I agree about Oregon, they will be in. ND gets smashed by USC and K-State wins out they are in. If -State drops you will see bama/ Oregon . If bama beats georgia in sec champs that makes bama the best option. I dont think the sec is as strong this year, there are 4or 5 really good teams, but they got a bunch of weak teams this year. ATM maybe 15th but they would beat ND an K-State.
Two turnovers in the 4th Quarter cost us the game. You cant dig that big of a hole to start with and expect to win with turnovers. A&M did what you are suppose to do to win. Create turnovers and control the clock on offense. Congrats to them.
