Trying to be able to see how much gas I have in my under seat tank. I actually took off the glass window and tried to shine a bright flash light to see if I could tell. Anyone have any ideas? Yes I have the Smartcraft gauges but am not smart enough to figure them out. In the rear tanks I made a gauge and fixed to the side of each tank. They are a lot easier to see how much is in there.Thanks in advanceJohn

Why not just run off the gas in the underseat tank and then call it zero. Tank capacity is about 32-33 gallons. You smartcraft gauge can be set to default (%) or can actually be calibrated to actual gallons. You can not use your gauge to read both underseat and rear tanks in actual gallons but they can be used in the default mode.

A bright flashlight held against the glass should show the line in the fuel tank.

I replaced the round black cover that is under the seat for access to the fuel gauge sending unit with a clear Plexiglas cover that a cut from piece I had laying around. Now I just lift the seat and set a flashlight on the clear cover and it puts enough light in the tank to see the level through the window.
