I use an underwater camera quite abit. Mostly for looking at structure. The best results, unless you have extremely clear water, are with the camera on the bottom. The reflection of the sun on the bottom gives better visiabilty in stained water. I use it in conjunction with my depth finder to really see and understand what I am looking at. Sometimes you will see fish and they dont seem to be bothered by its presences unless you drop it on their head. I also use it to determine what type of fish I am looking at on the graph. Carp, strippers, walleye, or BASS. Im not good enough with the graph to determine that. I dont know of any tournaments that allow its use during a tournament, but its great for prefish. I once had a catfish swim up to the camera and actually block my view. It was a big cat and I think if there had been any scent on the camera he would have ate it. Yes, I think the $$$ or worth it. But they can get spendy, depending on what you want. Make sure your cord from boat to camera head is made of Kevlar or something similar. Because if you get hung up, and you will, standard cord may break. Martin
