Can somebody tell me what this is and what it is used for? The item is mounted in the front storage compartment on a 2008 Sabre FTD. Can I remove it without any issues? Thanks

bcb told me its a compartment to hold your boat registration and paperwork. ive never used mine, though. (wait, i take that back…my 8-yr old daughter once used it to “cage” a frog she caught while we were fishing together a few years back)Last edited by cajun catter on March 18th, 2010, 5:25 pm, edited 2 times in total.

Its a boat/trailer 3/4 prong connection box storage thingy. Had one of these on a utility trailer I bought. Never used it. Not sure of its intended use. The top cover is removed 1/4 to 1/2 turn ccw and stored inside is the plug. I guess if I had a long enough tail on my tow vehicle wire harness, I could plug them together, put them inside the housing, and tighten the lid (I believe the side has a small opening that wiring could pass through. Otherwise, I guess its a place to store a spare plug???? Had my utility trailer 6 yrs. and its still sitting there, mounted on the tongue.

I have my insurance information, boat registration and emergency contact numbers in the round storage compartment.

I keep registration, insurance and spare truck key in it.Treat everyday like it might be the last

Secret Strike king Lure storage container. Panic box. Emergency humidor. Or you can keep your boat paperwork in it !

As everyone says…it is made for your boat papers. I dont use it for that, but I do keep a set of keys for my truck, and boat keys in there.
