I am looking to sell my current Basscat and buy a bigger boat. I am needing help on deciding on what to ask for it. Here is what I have. 1995 Basscat Eyra2005 Mercury 150 XR680# Minn Kota FortrexMinn Kota Talon2 Lowrance HDS 7s with Structure ScanKeelSheildNew wheels and tires on the trailer. New Seats. New Dash ConversionNew plumbing and pumps. Blue Water Leds on deck and compartments. Thanks
That is a good looking Eyra you have there. We are sure it wont last long with the upgrades. Not sure about the SK seats, though everything else looks pretty sharp!Do an one piece at a time build up to get the price tag at NADA.com. You have to add for the engine, troller, trailer, boat and options itemized for pricing and they should bring high retail in this market depending on all factors. BCB
Looks like you just got done with it! Why sell now?? JK, I know how that goes. Nice rig. If youre just looking for oppinions, Ill just throw a number out there and say it would be worth at least 15k to me… but I am far from an expert.
Id say somewhere in the 9-12K dollar range. Upgrades are nice, and that boat is immaculate but the fact is that its still a 16 year old boat. Pesonally though probably not worth the hassle, i would think you could sell out all the electronics, troller, engine, etc; seperatley, then just sell the hull and think you would come out with another couple thousand. But if you could get 15K as a package it never hurts to try.

That was a pretty good deal but still…
Greg, that does sound like you got a helluva deal depending on the options.Well, I see your point… Im kind of basing off of selling my ranger last year for 10k. It was a 97 with a 97 150 ficht… It had original electronics, 2005 motorguide, and no accessories. To me, this 95 with a 2005 motor would be worth an extra 5k… heck, with all the electronics, power pole and troller…. and its a BASSCAT! But yeah, maybe 12k is more reasonable. I definately wouldnt start as low as 9k though… I just think that there will be someone out there that sees the value in it like I do.
Yeah, I know I found a pretty good deal. It had a MK Maxum Pro 80 TM and an HDS5 in the console. I did spend some more $$ putting in a Hotfoot, blinker trim, upgraded the cranking battery and put another HDS5 up in the bow. So you could look at it as I paid more when you consider the upgrades I immediately put in cost…Its tough trying to sell something used that is older but in really good shape. Its really hard to find someone who will be willing to pay enough to cover all the $$ you may have put into it to keep it up to date.
Thanks for the input guys. I am not in real hurry to sell it. If the right buyer comes along than it can have a new home. If not I will fish out of it and enjoy owning it.
13,500 all day! I sold a 95 PII with a 95 motor for 10,000 so with the upgrades and a 05 Motor should be no problem. This is a nice boat good luck with the sell.
