I have an 08 Pantera Classic with dual axle trailer and noticed this summer that the tire valve stems are all cracked (all 5 of them). The base of the stems looks like at any time they are going to let go. Is anyone else experience this? Is this a warrenty item? I plan a trip to Kentucky lake this spring from Maine (read, long drive) and I am little concearned.
There are a couple of posts on the topic in here already. If you need something you can use the search at the top of the page and the item has often already been discussed before.
I did as well on my 08 puma two months after I bought it as they were cracked from just sitting on the lot. I just took the boat to the tire shop and did it without the warranty just to mkae sure I had no problems on the road. I think these cobras are good tires just issues with the cheap valve stems but problem fixed
BCB, It has been discussed before here but not really explained how to rectify my problem just that there is one. I thought this site was here to help not criticize. I wanted to know how others handled this problem….seeings from the research here there is a definite problem with the valve stems! I dont feel posting this was a waste of time as you seem to elude to in your post. There are others with this problem or are new to BCB and not familiar with how this site works…….sorry for your inconvenience.
Thats all BCB was trying to say, the search function can generally answer alot of questions that have been posted before. They put out a notice about a year ago on the stems and said they recognized a bad batch was installed and to contact parts if they were cracking. These boards are very helpful and the search function can generally answer many of those quaestions to avoid having repeat answers and questions. They are always willing to help though.
