VENICE TRIP!!

Great redfish! Weve thought about doing this but Im worried about taking the boat into the brackish water. Do you do anything special when you take the boat out of the water?

Do you do anything special when you take the boat out of the water?Yeah,,,,SELL IT !Seriously, Dont do this to youre boat.(FROM EXPERIENCE) There can be nothing good come of it, and many things to give problems. It isnt worth the work and effort involved, and there are better ways, like Sam does with another boat, or take a flatbottom, or skiff, or pay a guide and use his boat. Anything but using your own rig in salt.

I agree with Happy Hour. I dont fish there as much as He does but have spent my fair share of time down river. I dont see any issues with my trailer, boat, wiring ect… I have replaced my bunks on my trailer recently as well as touched up the brackets the bunks sit on but I dont think that is any type of excessive wear and tear. A 9 + year old trailer will have some issues now and again. You guys are missing the boat if you go to Venice and dont catch some of the meanest bass in the Country.
