Needed a 27p Fury for my Eyra / 250 Pro xs and found a guy to trade a 26 that I had. He was a machinist an had drilled 3 extra small holes in addition to the regular PVS holes in the Fury. Was a little hesitant, but prop was in great shape , so I made the trade. Ran the prop with no plugs and had ventilation / ^ RPMs right after the bow was breaking over. If i feathered the throttle I could control it, but if I stomped it, well– it spins quite easily! I think adding plug should help this, but have not had to play around with PVS plugs much on any of my other boats. So is there a proper way to do this , or just start with one and work up to the desired effect??And for those who have more experience with the plugs, should this be a fix? The holes he drilled are about the size of a small /med PVS plug, so I think Im getting to much air in the prop when coming on plane. The boat runs great with it otherwise, just lowered the motor to try and help with getting up, once I fix this problem , I can really see what shell do. Also the boat ran best with a 27p Fury (different prop) in the past, so I know the prop size if ok.Thanks for any help / suggestions. Like to get all this straight so I can focus more on the FISH!
