Does anyone know if the factory installed Vexilar transducer that is glued in the hull work with any other kind of depth finder? The Vexilar gauge is long gone.

No, those are unit specific. You can try wiring another plug to fit the unit you desire and try it if you choose.

The old unit was a flasher- all the new ones are digital, will it work?

If you join th wires together there is a possibility. Though we wouldn’t ruin a new transducer to try it.

Call Vexilar. They make many adapters which will take one of their transducers to different brands of head units. They should be able to tell you if yours is adaptable. 952 884 5291

If you are wanting to use a vexilar unit on the boat, the transducer will hook up to any unit they make, analog or digital. If you want to use the transducer for a different brand of unit you would need an adapter.

What kind of unit are you trying to run? I am good buddies with a bunch of the guys over at Vexilar. I can ask around and see what I can help out with.
