wanna upgrade to southco latches

Hey guys i have a 08 puma and i want to upgrade to some south- co latches The plastic ones that came with the boat keep breaking and i figure i should just replace them with a good latch while im doing it. I do have two questions tho first do south-co latches drop right in or do you have to do any modifications? and second I want all my latches to have locks do you have to get them as a package so one key will work for all your latches or are they like most other boat latch where anyone with a key can open them? thanks

I just put them in my PIV with no modifications. Dropped right in. I did not get all lockable. No need IMO to lock the cooler and live wells. As you know if someone wants in bad enough a lock or latch wont stop them. They look great and I highly recommend the upgrade.

Upgraded my 2011 PII with Southco. They are a little “pricey” but to me worth it. The biggest hassle was cleaning up the rubber silicone left behind from the removal of the perko latches. The latches fit flush with the deck……..word to the wise, dont step on the latches during the summer when barefoot…….. you will have a pretty brand on the bottom of your foot.
