I have a 2008 Puma and have an Elite 5 on the bow and a Lowrance x26 flush mounted in dash ( both were in boat when I bought it). I only fish recreational by want to upgrade. Without breaking the bank on new graphs and knowing that graphs are personal choices, could yall give some insight on graphs. Ive been looking at several — Garmin 73sv, Helix 7 SI

The Helix 7s are nice units, though we would dig into a non current Onix 9 in SI or DI for a value. They are great units and the updated software is really good and the features give you more for the dollar invested. Of course that is if any are leftover. They were built for BCB on order until recently and then when we quit all that is left are clearance models. The software updates are all you need.

I too fish mainly for recreation . — I just upgraded from Humminbird 718s , and put the Helix 7 DI/GPS at the bow , and the Helix 9 DI / GPS at the console , and I dont think Ill EVER be able to use all of the features these two units have . — Truly AMAZING for the money spent . — Excellent visibility in all situations . — Im seeing things in my home waters I never did with the 718s . — Hoss

If you want to save some time and money stay with Lowrance products. There will be no need to have to run new wires or replace transducers or antennas. Look at the Elite Ti in a 7″ or 9″ or the HDS Gen2 models.
