From what i heard from Ward yesterday i think he may be ready for a Puma / 250 combo !!! Yall will have to get him to tell you about getting caught, passed, and gone by another competitor,,,,,,in an X brand, and he aint happy ! Really may have been the last straw ! D. Oh yeah,” Team High Society” didnt fare too well Sunday @ Dardanelle,,,,,,,serves them right, after Ward had his daughter call me saturday and tell me her daddy was gonna “kick my booty” ! Well, here you are Dr. Gardner,,,as P.A. says” You mess with the bull,,,” ! 53. Doug, Just wanted to say thank you for clearing out all the floaters through the Bayou Sunday. We stayed just behind you all the to the last bridge.

A couple snuck up on me,,,,but i dodged them pretty well. Jeff asked me how a Sabre was running with us and i told him because he didnt want to go around ! My fish didnt fire up there, so we were scrambling most of the day looking for more and couldnt get any good bites. Saw where you guys did well, congrats., later, D.

I would be embarrassed Ward! Not about the fishing, but gettin blasted on top end by X brand. Ive owned and still fish out of X brand from time to time, but I be dang if I ever get passed by one! You better hurry and get you a Puma/FTD w/ a 250 Mercury so this happens no more! As far as your finish…………………..53rd…………….Im not even that bad! Thank god Swan finished no higher that 29th or I would have had to put up with Roland Martin for another week or two!

Thanks, we just got really lucky is all I can say. We struggled in the bayou as well. Our in the boat column will be up later on get5bass and it will tell about our struggles and how we got lucky. It is getting really intimidated in the overall standings because we are surrounded by some of the best in Arkansas. Hopefully the luck will continue. Oh yea, the ol Sabre likes to run!!!

Dear Phil, God is with a capital G, always, and Swann is with two ns ! I know the Weekend series has the spelling wrong, but what do you expect from La. folks ! Also, i resent the Roland Martin remark,,,,,,,,dont even go there,,,,,,, he aint that good ! D.

I feel your pain doc…well not the passed by a X part but the fishing part. Good luck and that blue boat with a black motor is for sale Youll getem next time and I love the phone call from the kids, that was your kiss of death though. Have them call afterwards and talk smack but not before Judd Lasiter

As for the brand X situation- we werent in my boat- nor was I driving- still woulda been caught by a 250 proxs no matter what. Ill fix that problem in 09. It would seem to me that if Team High Society is gonna suck donkey parts this bad we outta trade in the 200s for 135s so we can see where we can steal other folks spots because Team High Societys decision making stinks to say the very least. As for the fishing this year…theres not much I can say that should be publicly available. If we do equally poorly in the near future I promise to sell the P4 and quit dragging the entire brand down with us. Results like this deserve a 94 Nitro.C.O.D. Jr. III

Ward, no need to lambaste yourself any more than i have already !Keep your chin up, its just fishin , and youll get on a tear soon on the river, i garontee ! D.
