I have a 2006 Optimax and yesterday after a pretty long run the warning horn went off after I came off of pad to an idle. The horn never went off while I was running. It was constant but after I killed the engine and started it back up it went off. The water pressure was great the whole run. The oil reservoir was 2/3 full and I checked the one under the cowling when I got off the lake. The engine ran like normal the entire time no issues. Just wanted to see if it was something easy before i took it in. Any thoughts?

no smartcraft? probably need to see a dealer on this one as it could be a number of things including a faulty sensor.

Had the same warning at idle on a 07- had to replace impeller, it was an overheat alarm. Phil is correct- you wont know until you put a computer on it.

I had the same thing, replace the impeller. I do have the smart craft guages. Also clean and check your thermostats. They have a way of getting gravel in them very often.

Thanks for the advise. I was planning on replacing the impeller this weekend anyway. I will give that a try and see what happens. Thanks again.
