http://www.basscat.com/warranty.html.That is the warranty as posted on the website. It does state with regards to equipment that they are covered under their own manufacturer warranty…that is, engine, trolling motor, electronics all have their own warranties.I would have the boat checked over thoroughly, preferrably by a BC dealer. If you do have questions even after purchase feel free to ask.If you purchase the boat, you get the full lifetime hull warranty. If you sell the boat after a while, then the next person will be able to get the same lifetime warranty provided the qualifications are met.It is a non-declining warranty. Jackplate is a matter of preference, if you purchase one, it would be best to buy it from a BC dealer or from BassCat themselves as the BassCat uses a 6 bolt pattern for added safety. You can go up to an 8 inch Detwiler hydraulic or R&R Slidemaster hydraulic. Over that size (say 10″) would void the warranty. The boat should have a manual jackplate at the very least in most cases. Unless you do a lot of extremely shallow fishing or fishing flooded timber, a manual jackplate will do fine and is usually recommended by BC.I would use it for a while to determine what you really need/want out of performance. Hydraulic will not necessarily dramatically enhance performance on this set up, expect low to mid 70s with 225 engine.Good luck!Last edited by jignpig on February 10th, 2010, 11:33 pm, edited 1 time in total.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
