Ok so if you wonder or have any questions about BCB let me tell you. I own a 96 PII that had a 150 EFI Merc. So I decide in this economy to upgrade my boat with a motor, electronics and a new fortrex. So………..I add a 2002 200HP EFI with a 24P Trophy plus………….it was ok………….then Mr. Gordon, President of my club let me borrow a 26 Trophy plus (which was new. Thanks Gray!) OMGosh. Ok with the upgrades on my 96 with the motor and hydraulic steering was so awesome, I feel I can brag on the performance of how the boat responds to the hull shot, and the handle of the boat of the S curves at a local lake here in NC. Fuel economy is better as well. With what can be done with the older! and current BCBs it is obvious that the opportunites are endless even with a boat that is 13 years old. I got lucky and found this boat 3 years ago looking for a friend. At this point my thoughts (during bass fishing was) I used what bass fisherman used as bait as an offshore fisherman. I have found a pure passion for the sport and owe many thanks to BCBs and my bass club (especially Mr. Gordon) who has owned a Pantera and new to him, a Puma. BCBs has helped me with the upgrade of electrical issues when I changed the dash in the past. This is why they have won so many awards. So in short……..Be proud that you own a BCB watch out because BCBs is the future and I dont need a wet suit. I cant give any the exact specs yet but after I get it set up with the Hydraulic plate and prop i will be well north of 70MPH and handles like a sports car. WOW. Thanks to all & God Bless!Last edited by btrotter on February 25th, 2010, 1:49 pm, edited 2 times in total.
PM sent to you…Thanks,Steve
Nice write up, but we dont bash other brands here. Their owners are proud of their boats as well. Im glad you are a proud member of the “family” and passionate about bass fishing. Good luck with the new set-up, it sounds great ! D.
We will always try the high road. While we appreciate your enthusiasm, we are challenged daily and the only way to wins those squirmishes is to be kind and polite.
D.You have it all wrong my friend. I am not bashing(which you used in a harsh manner) other manufactures and really dont see how you got that. I own 3 boats, a bass boat, a bay boat and offshore all with Mercs. My other 2 boats were built by a company that is in trouble. I love all 3 and they all get used from the mountains to the gulf stream off of Hatteras! My base point here is its NICE to have a company that gives great support even years down the road. Thats it. I will stick with the wetsuit thoughBLast edited by btrotter on February 25th, 2010, 1:50 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Thanks btrotter! We just need the volume to turn up a wee bit here in Arkansas. Warmer weather for the country would help that some. BCB
Bash may have been a poor choice of wording, but youre original post had manufacturers names spelled out with spaces, and not meant to be “harsh”, just factual. No foul, just trying to stay on high ground not to get splattered in wake !
I agree for the heat and to stay out of the wake. I have NEVER been so happy and thrilled to be with a great group of people such as BCB owners and BCBs. I would love to turn up the volume with heat in Mountain Home! I am current with Wall Street and a owner of a company here in NC. I without a doubt support Family/Private owned business. BCBs has managed (from my view in) your company very well. Slow steady grown leads to a solid future. We have done this and followed this for many years. Started in 1 state and now in 16 states. #1 Customer service leads to what makes BCBs #1 oand thats why I am so satisfied. So D. and BCB to both thanks for your replys and now you know the rest of the store. Thanks to BCB again.Regards,Brian
