whats the best way to get water out of fuel tank…..

The filter canister sender will send a signal and the beeper will sound. We dont know your boat model, though on the 33 gallon tanks it will burn the very bottom 12 ounces out, which is where the water will trap. The filter should catch it and the sender notify you.

Its a 2006 Puma with a 225 Pro XS. It doesnt have an external filter but does have 2 little drain cocks that you can back off and let the water out. Can I mess anything up if it runs a little water through it? I drained the canister and the alrm is now gone. Thanks RJ

siphon it out if you cant remove the tank. then try and use some stabilizer fuel treatment for helping against water.

Siphon and a fuel additive. The older tanks have a clean out hatch, though the newer ones are not accessible through a hatch. Some folks use the sending unit for access. If it is the 33 or 27 gallon belly tank with the offset in the bottom, then you can probably just drain the sump through the pick up and siphon or pump it out. Electric automotive fuel pumps work for this, though be aware of fire dangers and concerns of sparking. BCB

97 jag filled up last weekend right tank ran out fine swithed to left run just a minute then died….pulled off the filter and pumped alittle gas out and it was almost white

A 97 Jaguar should have the access port in the top of the fuel tank. The Vent, Pickup and the sending unit should be positioned there. BCB
