Water under seats

The bucket seats, after 2003, have presented some challenges back then. The newer models have not been much of an issue as they have been revised on the bottoms. There should be drain holes under your seats in the corners, and if they are not there then that may be an issue.

The underseat storage has been the most challenging to keep dry. The best suggestion would be to seal things up from moisture. Prior to the buckets in 2003 these were the driest on the boat, and now they show the most issues. The seat bottom seal and sometimes people do not close them totally, the light cords and the seats fitting over the openings have been an issue. Most are dry, though some are not. BCB

Roy Alm, we would see if there is a drain in the seat pan below the bucket seat back. The storages should be drilled in the corners on later models, though yours may not be. We also would figure out why and where it is leaking. The lower bench seat has been adjusted to cover that area, and we continue to work to seal those better. The leakage has been minimized and we think it can be almost eliminated for most conditions.

I understand that a plastic weigh-in bag across the opening will fix the problem. Tic-Toc

didnt see an answer to this question, but is it safe to drill holes in the storage compartments. mine have been leaking too. would like to make sure that nothing important is under the storage before i go drilling drain holes. every time it rains while im fishing my driver side box fills up with water and sometimes i forget to check it
