Waterproofing Aurora Cover

What is the best product to waterproof your cover and to keep it from fading ?

Some have used Camp Dry or Tent Dry, and we have used Silicone spray also. Though it does not last long enough. Give Aurora Canvas a shout and ask their recommendation on Sunbrella Fabric. BCB

Thanks BCB I contacted them and they have fixed me right up. They recommended some stuff called 303 Fabric Guard.

One thing I did when I use to leave my boats outside with the cover on them is; buy a cheap plastic tarp and some rubber tie down straps and place the cheap tarp over my nice cover. It doesnt look real sharp but, it prevents fading and staining of your nice cover. Glenn

My understanding is that the Aurora cover is waterproof. Is this not true? I keep my boat in a storage building but it would be nice to know that the cover is waterproof in case I am traveling. (I was told it was waterproof when I purchased my boat)2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS

It is not proof, it us resistant. The fabric on Aurora covers is breathable, while Deans are Aqualon. The Aqualon is proof, though you will have more moisture with Aqualon under neath.

I have to keep my boat outside, and my Aurora cover has done a great job of keeping the boat dry. My Sabre stays on a concrete pad next to my house, and is in the shade most of the time. The boat has even rode out tropical storms outside, and the cover has kept the boat dry.

I also have to leave my boat outside covered with the Auora cover. I use Scotch Guard to repel water but it does not last very long. But the cover does protect my boat and keeps it dry unless we have a lot of rain. I need to recoat with something to help repel the water. Where can I get the 303 Fabric Guard that Auora recommends? Brian Hash
